I was thinking today about the whole concept of having a blog. People blog about things now. It's a verb. It's a noun. It may well be a lifestyle? To blog. A blog. The blogosphere.
People have themes. There are recipe blogs. (Have I mentioned that mine isn't one? Although I did make some pretty tasty tofu jerky today stop flinching I'm not giving you instructions wait come back!) There are book bloggers and beauty bloggers and social justice bloggers and mommy bloggers. Are there daddy bloggers out there? Is that a thing?
Huh. The internet tells me that it is.
Anyway, there are a lot of people out there with things to say on particular subjects.
So why do I have a blog? I don't have a mission here; I'm not out to convince anyone of anything (although, I gotta say, that tofu jerky, yum). I don't have handy tips for wrangling bronzer or two-year-olds. I'm just here to have a good time, I guess.
Is that okay? Can I have a blog and not have a motive?
I guess I can. No one has to read this. I can do whatever I want.
I'm gonna go have some tofu jerky. It's my blog.
